Brian and Colleen Fitzgerald's '71 Lemans sport

This '71 has the rare Endura front end option ( more common in'72), a/c ps, pdb, pw, etc. It has run in the 12s with a 2.56 rear gear!  Yes, you can go fast without low gearing.  Color is Buccaneer red that was a Pontiac color in 73-75.

Jeff Wegeners' 1966 GTO conv

When Jeff bought this car it was in need of total restoration.  The body was in good shape but, needed to be completely torn down and rebuilt.  The GTO was built to be used daily so upgrades were made.  Urethane bushings, big sway bars, WS-6 steering box, 12 bolt Posi and disc brakes all around.  The engine is a 428 w/ hydraulic roller cam, modified 6X heads, '66 Tri-Power, centerforce clutch, S T-10 4spd (a 5spd is under consideration).  Options are remote mirror, Rally gauge cluster, a/c, ps, pb and a console.  Interior is original except for the carpet and dashboard.

Matt Luster's 12 second '69 GTO

Matt has owned this GTO since '86 and has since gotten it to go 12.51 and 111mph so far.  He runs a 455 with: ported Ram air III heads, a Comp hydralic cam, Edelbrock 750 carb, H-O pistons, Mallory Unilite dist, a 400THM w/2500 stall converter and a 9" rear with 4.11's

Bruce Meyer's '69 GTO

The Bruce man was known as "King Meyer" in '98 when he won the Cactus GTO club king of the hill bracket competition.  He has won elsewhere too!  This GTO can hold it's own and has run a best of 12.19@ 112 weighing 3950lbs and in street trim too!  It's a 465 with-stock rods, TRW pistons, Ultradyne cam, Rhodes lifters, sm chamber 6X heads that Bruce ported himself and has 2.11-1.77 Ferrea valves. Also, a Torker 2 with a 850 Holley and Ram Air, HEI, Heddman headers w/ 3" ex and Walker muffs, 400 THM, 3300 converter, 3.73 12 bolt POSI.  Bruce has now switched to a faster '67 GTO for most of his racing.

Paul Millers '66 Lemans

Paul now runs a 421 with, 6X heads w/ stainless valves, Ram air IV cam, Rhodes lifters, Jet Hot coated 4 tube headers, 3" exhaust, Edelbrock Performer and 750 carb, he swapped in a 400 THM and a 3.55 rear with an Auburn Posi.  Currently, it runs 13.7.  Paul plans to switch to a stall converter and more cam.  Eventually, he wants to run 11's.  Recently, Paul has joined the wagon fraternity and bought a '63 Catalina Safari builder from me.  It will be his family hauler and will be 455 powered.  The '63 is getting a Trans Am front frame clip and a POSI has been added this year as well.  Paul is crewing on my Fueler too!

Jim Taylor's  '64 GTO

Jim bought this GTO new and it now run's 10's!  How many reading this can say they bought a GTO new, still own it and don't want a boring 14 sec car?  Jim obviously wants more and gets it with a '69 4-bolt 428, a Comp 305 cam, Crower 1.65 rockers, 670 head castings w/ Ram Air IV valves, 1 7/8" headers.  For  a trans Jim likes to shift w/ a M-22 Rock Crusher and a McLeod clutch.  Car also runs a 4.33 12 bolt POSI, '66 Tri-Power w/ N2O.  color is light Aqua metallic.  Jim is an example to us all.  While others buy and sell their cars, he has kept his car and made it fast.  I have not seen this car personally but, a 10 sec 4spd street car w/o tubs is impressive in anybody's book!  A real Pontiac man.

George Krasnowski's Blown '71 Grand Prix

This '71 Grand Prix is owned by George Krasnowski and is powered by a 7.6:1 455 with a Ram Air IV cam, Rhodes lifters and 4x heads.  Topping off this street package is a BDS 6-71 polished blower with 2 holleys!   I got to drive this one myself and it is very responsive and streetable.  It is set up on the conservative side for now with 3 tube headers and is under driven.  The drive train consists of a 2500 converter, 400 thm and 3.08 posi.

Dave's '63 features a stroked 455 to 474" with modified 6X heads and is set back 10", trans is a 200 r overdrive unit.

This is a street car for sure!  I can attest to that, he drove it from California where he lives to my last 2 events "Pontiac Heaven Drags"  and ran well into the 11s.  Dave also took home trophies at both times too!

Here is more about this outstanding car in Dave's own words-

Hi Steve,
The following is the info you requested on my 63 Tempest.  The inspiration for the car came from Mike Coopers Kansas Whirlwind 63 and of course Arnie Beswicks'  Tameless Tiger 63. I bought the one owner 326 HO car in late 87. It was very rough as it sat outside for 17 years and had not been run. The first order of business was to completely strip the car to bare metal and have all of the body work done as it was all surface rust. With 2 coats of glasrite primer blocked and sanded it went to the fabrication shop for the pro street, tube frame transformation. It has a narrowed Ford 9 inch rear with 3.89 gears and a full Chris Alston mustang 2 front suspension with rack and pinion and coil over shocks. It has 4 wheel manual disc brakes. We decided to lower the car as much as possible and still be streetable. Streetable was the underlying direction for the car.  I supplied a fully outfitted dummy block and transmission as I decided to move the engine back 10 inches which necessitated a new firewall and of course a completely new floor with a raised tunnel for the trans and drive shaft below.    While all of this was happening I selected Dave Bishop of SD Performance to build the engine. Its a .060 over stroked 455 displacing 474 c.i. with a solid lifter Ultradyne cam and after market steel 4 bolt caps.  Ross pistons ride on Eagle long rods. The Heads are 6x, #4's fully ported by Dave to flow 275-280. A Warrior intake tops it off with a 850 double pumper Holly. The Compression ratio is about 9.65:1 and it runs well on pump gas. The engine dynoed 552 hp@ 5400 and 597 ft. lb. @ 4300. It was pullin' 530 ft lb. @ 3000 rpm! The transmission is a highly modified 200-4r 4 speed automatic which is the key to the car being streetable. I love that overdrive! The fuel system is a custom aluminum 27 gallon tank utilizing a Mallory pump and is recirculating via 1/2 inch lines and a Barry Grant pressure valve. I highly recommend Dave Bishop for engine work.    After all the fab work it was back to the body shop for interior and exterior paint which took another year to finish but was well worth the wait. Once home from the paint shop final assembly began with all the electrical, plumbing and drive line installation. Its final ride on a flat bed was to the muffler shop for a custom 3" to 2 1/2" exhaust system with Magna Flow  mufflers. I drove the car home from there!   Next up was the interior which consists of Fiero buckets and light gray carpeting over heat shield insulation. Full instrumentation is by Auto Meter. The door panels are skinned aluminum panels. The car has a great 4 speaker Pioneer stereo system with a cd changer and power antennae!   At this point 4 years had rolled by and it was time to find out what this baby could do. The best pass so far has been a 11.60 @ 120 mph at Carlsbad Raceway and very similar times at Pontiac Heaven Drags this past spring. I have made some small improvements and expect the car to run mid 11's at low altitude.
The car weighs 3400 lbs and race weight is 3575. The car has been virtually trouble free and is everything I hoped it would be.

Can you Believe-    The Purple People Eater?

1930 model A Ford coupe (with rear section cut off) radically modified!  The top is chopped a severe 6 inches and body is channeled over the frame another 6 inches. The rear portion of the frame is "Z'ed" ...or kicked up....to lower the rear end of the car even more. The rear wheels are polished 5 spoke Americans while a rare set of polished 12 spoke magnesium rims mount up front.   The engine is a real piece of history that was originally built in 1959.  It was originally injected and came out of a front engined dragster that held the record at riverside raceway for blown on gas.....149 mph.  This was in 1959,1960,and 1961.  The engine is a 1956 316 c.i. with 4" bore.  It has first production Mickey Thompson Aluminum rods, 9.0:1 Venolia pistons, a highly modified c/t stroker crank, 0.505-inch solid lift  Engle cam, dual roller timing chain with custom made aluminum cover.  The heads are highly modified 1957 units that have been ported and polished with  custom made screw-in studs, and after market rocker arms.  Valve covers are finned aluminum by Weiand. Headers are home made zoomies. The blower intake is a Weiand and the 671 blower is a Don Hampton.     The blower is 9% under driven. 8 Ford Stromberg carbs sit on top of a rare Cragar intake. The transmission is an original B & M hydro.  A new rear was recently rebuilt and installed by Mark.  It's a 1957 Pontiac with 4.11 posi .  Marky plans on racing this car at nostalgia drag events.

Alex Idzardi's '32 Ford

Alex (Axle's) blue '32 five window coupe features an original steel body that is chopped 4 1/2 inches.  This is a true early 60's era hot rod with  2 inch white walls on chrome reversed rims.
Engine is a 1967 balanced 400 with 11-1 compression TRW forged pistons, Ram Air IV cam, roller timing chain, an original early 60's Mallory dual point distributor and spark box ignites
everything. For induction, a rebuilt '66 tri power is used, the heads are 1967 #670 ported with 2.11 and 1.77 HO racing valves and 1.65 rockers. The headers are hand made equal length 4 tube with collectors. For a trans, Alex uses Muncie 4 speed with an original Hurst floor shifter. The rear is a 1957 9" with 4.11 posi. This isn't the wildest Pontiac engine on the streets by far....but,
being that this car only weighs somewhere around 2,000 lbs its a screamer! The car just ran at the drags in

street form it went 13.10's spinning the tires a 1/3 way down the track, with slicks it ran 12.40's.
